Simple but effective website of Amsterdam based high-tech designer. Open and elegant designs of corporate and public buildings, housing and a special interest in bridges. Beautiful sound baffle project along one of Hollands most busy highway tracks.

- Hubert-Jan Henket
Henket is one of the founders of DoCoMoMo and professor in architecture at Delft University. His distinguished and elegant public buildings are worth mentioning. See especially the Teylersmuseum in Haarlem, the Catharijneconvent in Utrecht and the Courthouse in Middelburg.

- Holland Railconsult
Former architects of the Dutch railroad company. Now gone private. Specialised in railroad bridges, buildings, stations etc. The site opens with a collage where we can see the 'Venetian' design of a famous bridge by Paul van der Ree, one of the architects.

- Jan Hoogstad
Nice website of one of Hollands' more rational architects. Takes the 'rules' of music into his projects and designs. Special designs of huge office buildings with atriums, like the one's for the television companies in Hilversum and the famous ministry of housing in the Hague.

- HTV Architecten
Professional practice in the Hague. Places itself in the modernist tradition and shows that in the elegant designs.

- Karelse Van der Meer Architecten
Well known architects who started in the north of the country but know working all over Holland. Poetic modernism one should say when we look at the projects in their new flash-driven site.

- Kuiper Compagnons
One of the biggest companies in the Netherlands. Were formerly only occupied with city-planning [famous for the poetic aspects of the design of a new part of the city of Amersfoort] but merged with the architectural practice of the present state architect Wytze Patijn.

- KWau
Beautiful simple website of Wim Kloosterboer and Andy Woodcock, who started their own practice after working with OMA [Rem Koolhaas] and West 8 - city and landscape planners [Adriaan Geuze].

- Emiel Lamers
He won ArchiPrix in 1994 and started working with the Government Building Agency where he realised some interesting buildings and projects. Started his own practice now.

- Maurer Architecture and Media
Young architects that take sampling, grafitti and couture as inspiration sources for their special and poetic designs. Also occupied with new media and internet [www.ooo.nl] as a business.

- Mecanoo
Worldfamous architectural practice. After the separation [Erick van Egeraat, Chris de Weijer and Roelf Steenhuis went on their own] the two remaining partners produce buildings with the same special quality. Now a temporary site till september 8th.

- Meyer en Van Schooten
Young Amsterdam based architects with modern and fresh designs. Their design for the energy-efficient corporate headquarters of one of the biggest banks in Holland became well known; construction of this ING-building started this summer.

- MONOLAB Architects
Young architects with a new strategic approach especially towards cityplanning and infrastuctural projects. See their 'infrabodies', 'compressor', 'infrascape' and 'booster' projects.

- Van Mourik Vermeulen
Practice that exists for more than 40 years know. Many wellknown Dutch architects have roots in/with this office. Now the founder left and some young architects entered; they gained big assignments too, like the corporate headquarters of Fortis Bank in Utrecht.

- MVRDV
Who in the world doesn't know these guy's [and girl]. Just finished their Dutch expo pavillion in Hannover. Treating more designs like piled up or stacked landscapes, always innovating ideas and opinions about architecture and city-planning. Density is their aim in life and work.

- One Architecture
Architectural collaboration between Matthijs Bouw and Joost Meeuwissen in Amsterdam. Especially theoreticaly occupied. Meeuwissen wrote a thesis about 'architecture as an old science' and is lecturing at Graz university now.

- Oosterhuis Associates
Architect who uses the computer as a generating design tool. Was appointed this year as a professor in architecture at Delft university. Laureated for his saltwater-pavillion in Zeeland.

- OXUS universal studio
Experienced architect JD Peereboom Voller started this new firm together with young architect and industrial designer Koen Olthuis.
